this is a good scene frank - just a thought that it's actually two haiku moments - is the rolling in it the real killer part?
that's a good point about it being two moments.
this started out in life as a tanka that I played with while it sat in my "edit box" for a while:
spring thaw
the dog finds a carcass
and rolls in it
- new meaning for "off game"
he'll ride home in the truck bed
I was never really happy with that. though I may still rework it now with your comment in mind--thanks for that!
and re your rolling=killing comment, that smell can definitely kill.... :-)
