hey, thought I'd offer. tentative plan is drive to lower peninsula and camp Friday night 10/6 through Sunday, Wisconsin Monday 10/9, then back to western U.P. Tuesday 10/10 through Thursday 10/12, back to Wisconsin Friday 10/13 and Sat 10/14. Driving home from Wisconsin Sunday and Monday 10/15-10/16. Teach 10/17.

Whew. that's the first time I've sketched out the itinerary for this one. We'll see if it holds once we get there--have the fun of these trips is making it up as you go along.

jt,
sounds like a helluva trip. man,
don't know if i'd be able to keep
my eyes open, sounds grueling, but
at the same time sounds like it'll
be a great time. would like to meet
someday over rifles or pens. hell
you are the man who put haiku and
hunting together on the american
stage. what a great combination
it is!

well, as always I'm glad you're reading.... For a couple of years I did a 24 day grouse trip and hunted in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Maine. I would spend nearly a week in each state and cut across Canada. That was great. Now? it's tough working for a living. :-) oh well. You'll have to write the haiku for me while I'm gone.
