Just found this site via your mudbat eulogy of January 19, 2006. I liked that haiku and love this one, too. Our dogs are only two years apart -- but we know the anticipation of getting a pup that hopefully the older dog can mentor. Hopefully, you have your pup and the fun has begun.

thanks for the comment! I don't quite get to it every day any more, but I do enjoy the occasional haiku inspiration. You should check out our other blog at grousers.blogspot.com , lots of trash talking about hunting, but some good hook 'n bullet tales at the same time.
