a foot of snow on tap for the upper peninsula beginning on
monday. most of it to fall from
the far western u.p. to munising
and as far east as newberry. also,
16 to 22 foot waves on lake superior. flood warnings from munising east to whitefish bay.

hey Levon,
that's right where I was. Two or three years ago I drove homeward across the western UP in a foot of snow, less than a week after Columbus Day. So now I make sure I've got snow tires on for the trip!
